In 1801 a Massachusetts baker, Josiah Bent, burnt a batch of biscuits in his brick oven and the crackling noise that emanated from the singed biscuits inspired the name—crackers. From these humble beginnings come our dark crackers with their flaky buttery layers of crunchy cracker within a thick chocolate veneer.
